February Jewelry for Sale on Blog

Hello to my beloved blog followers...  You will find in this post and the previous post many necklaces and a few bracelets that are available for purchase off of my blog in case you're interested.  Thank you to everyone for their recent purchases these past weeks while my husband has been unemployed.  I truly appreciate the sales now, more than I ever have, so thank you.  If you know of anyone that might be interested in taking a peak at my items, please share my blog url with them.

I am often asked, how to I order your jewelry? I will try to simplify it, since I don't have a website other than my blog, nor do I have paypal for purchases set up yet.  I just don't yet know how to do that, so for now here's how to order:

1.  Find the items you'd like to purchase
2.  Send me an email at gretchen.schaumann@comcast.net with your item #, the information of the item you'd like to purchase, as well as your mailing address.
3.  I will then email you back an excel invoice with the amount total.  There is a $3.00 per item shipping/handling fee and 7.275% Hennepin Cty/MN sales tax charge for Minnesota residents only.
4.  Send me a check and I will mail you out your item(s) and the package will be all ready to go when the check arrives.
 Again, thanks!  Gretchen

February Jewelry Selling at the French Flea - Feb. 11-14th

Good Morning my blogging friends.  It's a sunny day in Minnesnooowta.  Sunny days happen to be a rare occurence in the winter months in this cloudy state, so I'm loving having the sun shining in on my face as I write this blog post.  I just know it's going to be a good day today.   So this post will be about some of the new jewelry I've created for selling at the French Flea in Anoka, Minnesota.  This shop is an occasional sale store which means its open occasionally.  Yes, only four days a month.  This is the week of the four day sale starting on Thursday the 11th from 10-8 p.m. (Tea tasting and scones served), Friday the 12th from 10-5 p.m., Saturday the 13th from 10-5 p.m. and Sunday the 14th (Valentine's Day) from 12-4 p.m.  Hope to see some of you there.
These items will be for sale off my blog after the sale so email me at gretchen.schaumann@comcast.net if something interests you.

Chunky Necklace with Eiffel Tower and Gemstones
10-F40
$59.00 (SOLD 2/13/10)
Front of focal is a vintage glass prism with a wonderful image of the Eiffel Tower in Paris.
The back of the focal is a mirror, so it is a two sided necklace.
Large barrel shaped carnelians which are semi precious gemstones, are wire wrapped into this piece for duability as well as adding substance to go with the chunky brushed gold chain used in this design.
Such a fun clasp.  A vintage padlock has been used with hand wire wrapped hppk closure.

Gold Filigree Floral Necklace
10-F28
$34.00
(SOLD)
This piece is created with a wonderful vintage floral focal that I found in my searching for unique finds one day.  It is so lovely and detailed.  I wanted to keep it the focal of the piece, so have used it with a vintage gold toned with pearl chain, to keep this flower the center of attention.
 Nice, clean and simple.

Gold Link Chain w/Watch and Calendar Focal
10-F39
$42.00 (SOLD 3-11-10)
This watch face is stunning on its own, but it is reversible, which is just an added bonus.

The watch face on the previous photo has been adhered to this fun and playful 20 year working calendar.  So fun to use great pieces to create two sided designs.  Versatility and a real conversation piece.
The entire piece shown here, on a simple gold tone linked chain.

There are many more new designs going into the shop today for tomorrows sale, but time only allows to showcase these three new pieces.  Enjoy your day!

A Sweet Post About a Necklace Design From a Happy Customer

Below is the reason I design and create jewelry for a living.  On days like today, when you receive notice of a wonderful blog post about one of your designs and you've made the customer thrilled with their purchase, it really makes what I do worthwhile and enjoyable.  So thank you Candy for your purchase, and thank you for the flattering blog post about that purchase.  Enjoy the read and stop by Candy's blog.  She is not only a fabulous photographer, but has wonderful transformations on her blog as she recreates with others cast offs aka junk.
I just had to share my little purchase with all of you! Can you tell I am just thrilled?!

Photo taken by Candy of Junk Sophistacates blog.

Candy's blog reads like this:
Wow! Look What I Got!

This necklace was created by jewelry redesigner, Gretchen Schaumann from Mimi-Toria's Designs. According to her website, Gretchen's pieces are created by "using vintage, found treasures and special new elements to design and create beautiful functional art". What do you think? Extraordinary, right?
And the tag "Junker Girl"?! Get outta here! Could this be any more perfect for me? Coming from someone that doesn't spend much money on herself, I am beyond happy with my little gift...to ME, from ME!

Make sure you check out her blog to see what other designs she has available. They are all so unique so you may have a hard decision to make! I can also attest to her integrity and believe she is one of the kindest people I know.

Now let me grab that necklace and put it on! I've got vacuuming to do!

**I haven't forgotten about my dining room either, so that will be posted soon too. :)

As always, take care and keep on junking!

Candy

These are the photos I posted on my blog that Candy purchased the necklace off of.  As you can see her one photo did my necklace more justice than all three of the ones I took.  Too bad Candy lives in Ohio, or I would ask her to barter with me for her photographing my jewelry for my designs.
