Creating for the "Flea Market Under Glass" Show

As I work my little fingers to the bone,
attempting to create enough jewelry for this upcoming show,
I am trying to remember that somewhere
buried under a fresh foot of beautiful fluffy white snow,
that the promise of Spring (flowers and grass)
is still here in our Minnesota landscape.

As warm weather starved Minnesotans,
we crave these signs of Spring,
in our homes,
adorned on our necks,
and in our front stoops, porches and walkways
outside our homes.

With this in mind,
I will plan to provide,
you my customers,
with some fun and fabulous treasures,
to help you get through the long
remaining Winter months.

Stay tuned for more peeks,
of new creations,
as I give my fingers a rest
from creating jewelry
and instead will edit photos to share.

Now it's back to creating for me...

Can't wait to see what the Lord
provides me in way of designing for this show.
It's going to be fun!!!!

Hope to see you there...
March 3, 4 and 5th!

"Girlfriend Time" at "Flea Market Under Glass" Event

I just received this as an email and had to share it with my blogger girlfriends.

Enjoy!

"I just finished taking an evening class at Stanford. The last lecture was on the mind-body connection - the relationship between stress and disease. The speaker (head of psychiatry at Stanford) said, among other things, that one of the best things that a man could do for his health is to be married to a woman, whereas for a woman, one of the best things she could do for her health was to nurture her relationships with her girlfriends.

At first everyone laughed, but he was serious.
Women connect with each other differently and provide support systems that help each other to deal with stress and difficult life experiences. Physically this quality “girlfriend time" helps us to create more serotonin - a neurotransmitter that helps combat depression and can create a general feeling of well being. Women share feelings whereas men often form relationships around activities. They rarely sit down with a buddy and talk about how they feel about certain things or how their personal lives are going. Jobs? Yes. Sports? Yes. Cars? Yes. Fishing, hunting, golf? Yes. But their feelings? Rarely.

Women do it all of the time. We share from our souls with our sisters/mothers, and evidently that is very good for our health. He said that spending time with a friend is just as important to our general health as jogging or working out at a gym.

There's a tendency to think that when we are "exercising" we are doing something good for our bodies, but when we are hanging out with friends, we are wasting our time and should be more productively engaged—not true. In fact, he said that failure to create and maintain quality personal relationships with other humans is as dangerous to our physical health as smoking!

So every time you hang out to schmooze with a gal pal, just pat yourself on the back and congratulate yourself for doing something good for your health! We are indeed very, very lucky. Sooooo let's toast to our friendship with our girlfriends. Evidently it's very good for our health."

So here's the deal...Sue Whitney of Junk Market Style and Otten Bros. of Long Lake, MN have teamed up to bring us girlfriends together.  The fresh idea is a "Flea Market Under Glass" and the dates are March 3-5, 2011 in Long Lake, MN at Otten Bros. location.

So go ahead, and grab your girlfriends and come visit us at the event.  There's a two for one coupon for this event too.  So cheaper to come with your girlfriends...  Now how can you pass a deal like that up?

Hope to see you in March girlfriends!!!

Click on SHOP to Buy

You can now SHOP my blog
by clicking on the SHOP tab,
which is located right above this post.

All items available are
listed on this SHOP tab now,
and will be in the future.

Many of you that follow my blog are aware that I am just coming down from a Trunk Show held last Saturday. It was a wonderful event! I met a lot of great new customers, and of course always enjoy my loyal customers that make it to an event I show at as well.

However, I still have some great jewelry to offer for sale, and have listed it here on my blog for those of you out of staters that have been asking me to do so.
I had a wonderful display area to set up my vintage style props and vendor space.
As you can see I am a lover of chippy, peeling painted props.
Notice my sign I created using a window.
Notice my chippy shutters I use as a back prop.
Etc.
I created all of my vintage framed displays using picture frames with burlap.
A few of my favorite jewelry pieces I created for this trunk show.  The "Believers Necklace" sold for $139 at the event, but the Eiffel Paris pieces is $89 and the Sterling Silver Religious Jesus Medal is $59 and are both for sale on my SHOP tab page of items available.
So much fun to create!
I'm always on the look out for unique, interesting display pieces.

Now go ahead, go SHOP...
Treat yourself to a
Valentine's Day Gift!

Otten Bros. Nursery Rocks!!!!

Just a quick post to let you all know that I am still here...
Thanks for your patience.
I just finished up a fabulous Trunk Show event
which was held last Saturday
at Otten Bros. Nursery
in conjunction with
Sue Whitney of Junk Market Style.
It was a hit!

It all began for me on Thursday.
I lugged a truckload of tables, mannequins,
props, etc. and set up the base of my display.

While there, these lovely rubber boots called out to me.
They were for sale inside the Otten Bros. Nursery.
I told the gal I bought them from that my plan
was to wear them at the Trunk Show Event
on Saturday.

I wore them Friday setting up my jewelry first.
Several vendors saw and fell in love with them too.
They later bought them on Saturday.

Wore them to the show on Saturday,
and I must of had 2 dozen customers
fall in love with them then.
Lucky for them they were being sold
right around the corner inside.

They literally were a hit of the show,
and I'm so glad they were.

There are a variety of styles and colors.
I chose the low style.
Black background, w/muted reds, golds, and greens.
Figured it would go with lots of things.

They are rubber,
have great support for arches,
a nice snazzy little heel
and are ohhhhh, so comfy.

You do however need to go
up one whole size for fitting.

Here is an example of one of the tall styles:
(photo courtesy of Otten Bros. store)

They're all the rage...
and with the amount of snow
we've had this Winter
its a given,
us Minnesotans will
definitely need them.

Hmmmm,
maybe I should of bought
the tall ones after all. ;)
as we may need above the knee length.
We will surely be jumping puddles this Spring!
