After this week-end, I will be selling jewelry off of my blog, so that you my out of state customers and local as well will have access to purchase from me for yourselves and/or for Christmas gifts to loved ones.  I love what I do, and the uniquenesss I've been able to maintain with the one-of-a-kind pieces God gives me the vision to create.  All glory goes to Him, as he has given me any and all gifts that I may have.

Later next week, I hope to have items listed in an organized fashion to be purchased.  If you see something you like, just contact me via email at gretchen.schaumann@comcast.net , and communicate which number item you are interested in and we'll go from there.  I send you an invoice via email, you send me a check, and I will ship out to you.

A side note, is that I've been enjoying being a part of "Inspiration Studio" as a contributor over at Kim Klassen's blog site, and the above photos were edited with some of her layers that she creates for using with photos.  I just love what she does and wanted to share that she has great blogs ,  products and classes if anyone is interested in growing and furthuring your talents.  Take the time to check her out, you won't be sorry.  I just am so happy to have found her and her generoisty in sharing her talent and techniques with the public.  Her pricing is very reasonable as an Artisan for all of the hours and time she puts into creativing these wonderful textures and layers.  Love this stuff!

Thanks everyone for your comments that you leave for me.  I read each one, and am not always able to comment back, but please know that you my friends are often the hilite in the day of a designer that works way to many hours creating, and never has enough time to get everything else in their lives done.  God Bless each one of you for the joy and friendship you've provided to me over these past years I've actively been a part of this wonderful blogging world!

Believer Necklace...

A personal story

 of a design

 I

 created...

with

lots

of

meaning.

This necklace is titled "believer necklace".  It was created with an array of religious elements and with some Steampunk inspiration.  It is SOLD, and the new owner has texted me that it is her new favorite.  What joy that gives to me.

I just love working with these vintage religious charms, and chose to use the backs of many of them for their meanings, ornate detailing and or to keep things unique.

 A totally different mix of religious charms, but yet while designing I kept the balance from the right to left side equal.  A difficult task, but well worth the time to design it this way.

The addition of the heavenly palest of pink silk ribbon tied to the top of this focal, the vintage jewels (actual rubies in the jeweled pocket watch workings) which represent Jesus blood shed for us, the white vintage mother of pearl shell button represents the purity one has in Jesus, and Jesus with his open arms and holes in his feet and hands represents the ultimate sacrafice he made for those of us that have chosen and choose Him in our future.  What a gift!

Jewelry Display Area at "The Loft"

After last Saturday when we closed the Trunk Sale at "the Loft" on 2nd Ave. in Anoka, we decided to keep my jewelry for sale there, through this weeks occasional sale shopping days. If you couldn't make it out for the one day event, you will have a few more days to get in on the fun.  It is a lot of work to set up for each show, and this was no exception, so to maximize the exposure Julie extended a proposition I just couldn't turn down.  Thanks goes to Julie for this opportunity...

New Displays...

 

Julie's shop has a modern/industrial/eclectic vibe to it, so to fit in with her style I decided to accumulate some unique industrial style displays.  This is an original Mimi-Toria's Design idea for displaying some of my jewelry...  A trunk show it was, so a tool chest trunk of sorts is what I came up with to display off of.  I love the industrial look and touches that the new pieces add into my otherwards European Romantic Style that I prefer to display with. Thank you to Jan Berg for supplying the perfect industrial touches I was craving.

Here the lid of the tool chest became my display piece.

My newest line of jewelry called "Steampunk Inspiration" was a big hit at the Trunk Show, but I have some great pieces still available.  I also recently introduced two other lines of jewelry that have unique and fun finds in their creations.  Come and see them a bit closer at the shop.

A nice amount of display opportunities which was perfect for these three new lines of jewelry to be displayed together.

A trademark "Mimi-Toria's Designs" pocket watch face necklace with bird in flight piece has a bit of bling on it...  Love the bling on my personal piece and have received a lot of compliments on it, so tried it out on one for sale.

In the previous blog post you will notice a variety of "Steampunk" styled jewelry.  This was a special request via Julie, the owner of "The Loft", so I tried my hand at my version of the look.  What do you think?  Do you like it?  Is it too rough or industrial for your tastes?  Input appreciated through your comments is greatly needed.

So the previous three photos showcase the same piece of jewelry.  The different views of it should give you a great feel for the look it has.  I adore this piece, and am tempted to keep it in my private collection, but alas I can't keep everything I love.  The uniquiness of this piece is how elegant it is with a littel black dress, how it could easily be a bride's necklace for her wedding (something old), and how cool this would also look with a pair of jeans and a t-shirt.  This is a converstation garnering piece for sure, but isn't over the top and gaugy like many convo pieces tend to be.

This gorgeous focal on this necklace is a vintage pave' set stone piece and is a fabulous find.  It is accented with a piece of gorgeous pale blue silk ribbon, a baroque faux glass pearl, vintage rhinestone rondelle, and a vintage moonstone glass bead.

This photo shows how well this vintage focal pulls together the rest of the necklace design. I've used pale blues, silver and grey to create the look of a calm summer sky.

Steampunk Style

This necklace is filled with wonderful detailing, and mostly continues the theme with the blues, silvers and greys.  There is a gorgeous small detailed rhinestone train piece incorporated up one side of the chain, as well as a vintage key, religious medal, vintage mix of glass beads, mother of pearl items and lots of fun detailing.  A very one of a kind piece, you just won't find any place else.

Gorgeous browns, bronze, with gold sparrow, vintage religious medal connector, and 2 very fun mens underwear buttons, are the creative items that make up this focal.

A lot of charms dangle off of this piece.  Many unique details such as filigree Eiffel tower, detailed Sterling Silver heart charm, vintage cross, Sterling Silver fleur d leis, rhinestone rondelles, vintage beads, brown and green silk ribbons tied on and woven through this piece.  SOLD

This is one unique and very cool necklace.  It is two-sided with two totally different looks.  The first is the Steampunk side which a vintage pearl flower, vintage watch face, "believe" tag, and a silverplate crown.
