Beauty at its Finest

To me these two photos below of the religous pieces are "Beauty at its Finest".
Have you ever come across something that was just too beautiful to use in redesign?  Well, for me that was the case when I found these two lovely necklaces while buying supplies for my jewelry business.  I am a lover of white chippy items as well as a touch of aqua in my accessories while decorating my home and cabin, so these were wonderful finds for my style.
Isn't it fun when you come upon that perfect little something that makes your heart go pitter patter?  These necklaces drape at the edge of a hand colored photo of my only child, a daughter, whom I had a photographed at age 5 with feathered angel wings.

The photos below are examples of some found objects/elements that I've chosen to redesign with while creating my vintage redesign jewelry.  I just love to use different shades of whites, wether it be a vintage watch face, gorgeous mother of pearl vintage buttons, luminous strands of faux glass pearls in varying shades of neutrals or this precious vintage creamware pitcher from a childs set of dishes.

Jewelry for Sale

Good morning afternoon to you my blogger friends.  I have been missing in action for quite some time and I do apologize.  Summer life can just easily get a girl off track.  I've been enjoying some week-ends away at our cabin in July, and have spent a great deal of time trying to come up with what camera to replace the one that was recently stolen.

00001
Art Deco Door Handle Plate Necklace
SOLD
Great detailing on this vintage door knob plate.  A mother of pearl accent has been paired with a filigree piece to accent the door knob plate.  There is a vintage skeleton key, vintage crystal drop, vintage filigree bead dangles as well as a hand created wire wrap birds nest with tiny pale blue freshwater pearls to represent bird eggs. Notice also the cool vintage rectangular shaped three dimensional links in this design which are shown below.
The back side of this piece has a vintage pocket watch face attached to its back, sot that the back side is finished as well, in case the necklace should flip while wearing.  Both sides are finished.
This necklace design is 24" with just the chain length, and than the focal is additional.

Jewlery for Sale July

This necklace is an example of something that I had originally designed one way, but then changed out an element to what I feel was an improvement to the overall necklace.  What do you think?  Do you like it best as the original design, or the new style?
Original Style #1
When I originally designed with this found object that I created into a "I FIND JUNK" pendant, I thought it would be a quick sell.  Alas, it wasn't.  I was perplexed and wondered what it was that made it not sell?  I decided after further analyzing it that the hand wire wrapped chain on this design, was a bit too fancy and upscale for the rawness of the "I Find Junk" pendant.  Thus I decided to swap it out and turned it into two different design pieces.  See below.

Redesign #1
"I find Junk" Necklace
(SOLD)
I love the delicate little Mother of Pearl childs octagon button with the "I find Junk" pendant, so kept those two elements together and teamed the on a patinaed silvertone long chain.  This piece is perfect for layering with other necklaces and recently sold at the French Flea shop in Anoka, MN, during the monthly four day occasional sale I sell at.

Redesign #2
Gorgeous Neutral Bling Necklace
$69.00
(SOLD)
This focal was used to replace the original "I find Junk" pendant, which I feel is more fitting for the classiness that the rest of the necklace had going for it.  What do you think?  To see more of the detailing in this necklace you can check out a prior blog post of mine here.
